The first Wisconsin State Fair was held in Janesville in 1851. 13,000 people attended. In 1859, President Abraham Lincoln was invited to give the annual oration. A few things have changed since then… annually, more than one million people attend the Fair, and instead of horse drawn carriage races, fair goers now enjoy events like a Sea Lion Splash, K-9 Sports Area and Sky Glider. With nearly 200 acres of events, exhibits, rides and food the Wisconsin State Fair is an annual “must do”.

Located less than 10 miles from Brookfield, the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds is a quick and easy drive from all major highways. Milwaukee County Transit System provides convenient, reasonably priced transportation straight to State Fair Park. For routes, times, and pickup/drop off locations, please visit http://wistatefair.com/fair/shuttles-transit/. If Uber is how you roll, tell your driver to drop you off at the designated zone at the Gate 4 Transit Center.

The iconic Original Cream Puff, sold at the Fair since 1924, is the most popular food item among Fairgoers – an average of 350,000 are consumed each year! The delicious cream-filled pastries can be enjoyed individually or in three- or six-packs. The Wisconsin Bakers Association operates the Cream Puff Bakery in the Original Cream Puff Pavilion, two additional conveniently located vending locations in the Fair Park.
Drive-Thru / Pick-Up–
Want to order Cream Puffs for pick-up during the Fair? During the State Fair, August 3 – 13, stop by the Cream Puff drive-thru location, which is open each morning from 6 – 8 a.m. Cream Puff drive-thru orders must be placed 24 hours in advance by calling the Cream Puff hotline at 414-266-7111.
Deliveries— require a 10-dozen minimum order and must be placed at least 48 hours in advance. Cream Puffs are available for $36 per dozen.
